Electronics Engineering

The EEA (Electronique, Electrotechnique et Automatique) is sensibly similar to Electrical and Electronics Engineering in US or UK. The course are conducted mostly in French, but we welcome every year international student who find in Besançon a nice environment to learn engineering... and French culture!

The University of Franche-Comté (UFC) follows the Bologna system and we have a 3 years Licence course, followed by 2 years Master course and finally a 3 years PhD program.

If you're from Europe, you may come here to follow one semester (30 ECTS), one year (60 ECTS) or more through the Erasmus program (starting after you have at least one year of University study in your home country), or of course start your studies here from the first year and benefit of excellent infrastructure - with very competitive tuition fee (about 200€/year)!

Starting from year 2019 we are offering an integrated international program Master + PhD, entirely taught in English in the framework of the graduate school EUR EIPHI. The Smart Integrated Systems program has 3 tracks representative of the local strength in applied sciences/engineering research.

Do not hesitate to contact us to get more information !

EEA is an important industry sector and for example, here are some of the French companies (including local powerhouse like Alstom) working in the field
